If you ordered the PX171Ms when they first came out you did not get screen rotate drivers with your order. All new monitors are shipping with a CD for the drivers. Rather than try to battle with ATI or NVIDIA to get them to activate screen rotation in their drivers, call Planar Tech Support and they will ship a CD to you free.

Not a hot deal for many, but I know a few of us bought the PX171Ms when Dell started to sell them with some decent discounts.

Number is 1-866-PLANAR1

I'll let you know when they arrive :)

I'm guessing that they are the pivot pro drivers, as that was what they originally recommended in the Planar's FAQ. As I'm sure you noticed they were sadly 30 day trial drivers downloaded from the site you mentioned. I'm also guessing that these are permanent licensed versions, not demo.

As I said I'll let you know . . . .

Yeah Onza - you made a good decision buying this screen - try watching monsters inc DVD on a slower screen, then watch it on the PX171M.

'Nuff said!

My only comment against it is that the stand is in no way one-finger adjustable. I have to major-wrestle mine to get it to move. Apart from that and the lack of rotate drivers, it is awesome. Now if only they would bring out a 21 inch version at 16ms refresh for under a thousand!

I was wondering because I've used the pivotpro software pretty extensively. It's pretty annoying but it does get the job done. I've been looking for an alternative but haven't found one that works on multiple monitors. Also, the software is kinda buggy and I believe that Planar still ships v6, whereas the latest version on the website is 7. You know it's bad when it takes them 7 revisions before the software works as advertised.
