Solved! PWM?

Hi so I am looking for some very quiet case fans. I have heard great things about the Silentwings 3 however on the Newegg page, they have an option for with PWM and without PWM. Would anyone be able to explain to me what the difference is? Is one quieter than the other? Thanks.

Choose PWM if your motherboard has 4-pin headers (or if you plan to buy a PWM fan controller). They are much more controllable/customization.

Even if your motherboard uses 3-pin case fan headers, you can still run the PWM fans on it, however they will run as if they were 3-pin (non-PWM) fans.
Cool thanks. My motherboard has 4 pin headers so looks like I'll be going with PWM.

BTW, I own 3 of those Be Quiet fans (used for my case's front intake), and they are really nice, quiet fans that move a lot of air (in the quiet fan category).

yeah I am gonna buy three as well (2 intake one exhaust). Right now I am running with three stock case fans and they are just too loud for me.
