pwm temperature?

because speedfan is highly inaccurate?
Sorry but I dont have a better answer, but its almost always wrong.

Try coretemp or Everest.

edit:

122 degrees Fahrenheit? or celsius?

Well, 122 degrees fahrenheit is 50 degrees celsius so speedfan is a little off.
Now what cpu do you have and is this stock cooling? If aftermarket which cooler?

Q6600 with a Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme. Doesn't matter if I overclock or not, the PWM temp is roughly around 122.

You have to configure SF for your mobo as it is generic. It is probably reading an incorrect port address on your mobo that isn't being used for health purposes. The health monitor program that came with your mobo should have it correct. Use that until you can figure out how to configure SF for your mobo.
