PWM fan converter???

I bought a NXZT fan controller for my computer. Reading the directions it says that if you have a PWM fan you need a converter. What converter and where do you find it?????
 
AFAIK there is no such thing as a PWM fan converter as 4 pin PWM fan connectors are compatible with 3 pin fan connectors. You lose the PWM function of you're connecting a 4 pin PWM fan to a 3 pin connector but I don't think it is a huge loss since they are almost the same.
 
I figured out what they meant in the directions. It is just an adapter is what it really is and I got it fixed and it worked great.
