I am in the process of migrating my home machine which functions as a general home computer and a PVR as well, but have run into serious problems with an apparent conflict between the Hauppauge PVR-150 and my video card (Nvidia 7600GT).
System:
AMD X2 3800+
Gigabyte GA-M55plus-S3G motherboard (F3 bios)
Gigabyte Nvidia 7600GT Silentpipe (8.4.2.1 driver)
WD 4000GB
2GB RAM
Audigy 2 ZS Soundblaster
Seasonic S12-380 power
Symptoms:
When both 7600GT and PVR-150MCE are installed the boot process stalls at the Windows screen and never advances.
Attempted:
Works fine with everything BUT the PVR-150
Hangs with everything pulled but the PVR-150 and video
Tried different PCI slots - still hangs
Installing new video drivers (8.4.2.1 and a few earlier versions)
I am a bit at a loss of what to do here as none of this altered the problem except pulling the PVR-150 card. This setup worked just fine with my previous computer (AMD 2100+, ATI 9700, EPOX 8RDA+.
Is this a MB bios issue? A video driver conflict? Any ideas?
I did find the following thread for a similar problem for a 6600 and a 500MCE, but has anyone had this problem with the 150MCE? Starting to drive me crazy and ruin that nice new computer feeling.
