PVR Software: Reccomendations?

Well, I just picked up a WinTV card, and I'd like to find some PVR software, or at the very least, some software that does video capture in MPEG-2. I know the Wintv-PVR and VoodooTV 200 cards allow this, but will their software work with other cards? TIA!

Edit: Cheaper is better, free is best 😀😀
