ok so this really wasnt my oginial plan but now is quickly becoming a better idea each time i think about it
ok so this is what i use it for and what i have going on
i have 3 CPUs one is mine for gaming mostly , then the Kids cpu (so they dont mess up mine) and i use to have one in the living room , that i used for streaming music mostly piped into my home stero suornd sound ,
and to my 52 in rear projection RCA tv that is mighty old via s video , its hard to read leters and surf on the tv i have teh graphics @ 640 x 480 so the words are big enough to read , anyone got thoughts on this ?
now the one in the LR was a emonster 550

256k ram
14 gig hd
crappy cd-rw
wireless card
stock mobo unknown
Geforce 4 fx 5200 256k
sound blaster live sound card
stock psu
now ive recent come across a xp 2800 that im going to use in the kids cpu,
im pretty sure ill be changing out the
(if i was to switch this to LR cpu )

512 rosewill ram
xp 1700
30 gig hd (switch to 160 gig +)
ati radeon 9700 pro (would switch to fx 5200)
lnksys wireless card
and a studioPCTV pro tv tuner (switch ledtech 2000xp expert or ?)
(would have to add a Sound card still)
what my thoughts are just basicly keep the cpu together or yank the mobo cpu and ram from the kids and buy them new things for thiers by replacing HD with a 200 gig and add a better tv tuner , and prob a suround sound card, and speakers
I have a CD/radio combo now and im looking to get rid of that and use the cpu as my DVD/Radio
here are a list of parts i own now and could use
abit bh6 w/ intell 733 slot 1 , 512 pc 133
old emachines 550 just need to format and reinstall os to get it working
althalon 1.2 proc would need mobo or could put in biostar
what im looking to do with this media cpu is prob a little PVR and internet radio along with some light surfing
im thinking a ledtech 2000xp expert tv tuner in it or ?
160-250gig HD and a 14-30 gig for master or just the big one
some sort of Sound card ,
now if i do all that , i would be needing to rebuild the kids cpu using teh XP 2800 i have, looking for sugestions on this also mostly mobo and ram i can do the rest , would like this to play BF2 when im done
i apperciate any help you may offer , and if there are too many spelling errors its cause im running a little light on sleep
