I have the MSI motherboard (MS-6380) K7T266 PRO-RAID. It is a nice board and worked fine at first. I was using the AMD 1.4 Ghz 266 FSB chip with it and 512 mb of pc2100 ddr memory. The board defaulted to 1050 Mhz with 200 Mhz FSB. I loaded windows and all with those settings. After, I switched the FSB from 100/200Mhz to 133/266Mhz and the computer froze. After restarting a few times, the boards D-LED lights said the processor was damaged and nothing would work/boot. I returned the processor and sent the board back for testing. I had also got another 1.4 Ghz 266 FSB chip and tried it out, in hope that i just had a bad chip, but this time the board froze in the boot process and the chip was dead after rebooting. The technition said he tried a 1Ghz athlon and a 1.4 athlon on the board and it worked fine. In the mean time, I switched out my power supply (in case it was bad). When I get this board back, what is to say that the new chip won't fry either? What could have been the problem? I could use any help on this. Thanks
