Puzzling Login issue

Ok guys if somebody can help me out tonight then I owe them a large debt! And mabye a beer if they live near Portland..... Ok here she goes this is the second time this has happened to me and a complete reformat was the last conclusion to the issue. I trying to lock my kids out of my computer went into user accounts added a account for my son as a basic user. Then I changed the name of my admin account on a whim.....It was MaddScientist changed it to Ryan.....Password was not changed nothing else was changed mind you I just changed the damn name and that was it. Now I cant login under Admin or MaddScientist or Ryan for that matter......Please dear god let somebody help me with this!


Anyhelp or just guesses would be gladly accepted!

Btw something I never mentioned I can login under the new account I set up for my son that is restricted.....otherwise I would not be able to post at all. This sucks......sidenote!

Can you login under the admininstrator ID in SAFE MODE? This might allow you to go back into the system and change the name back or at least create a new ID with admin privileges.

Ok fellows I figured it out and get this boy was it a odd fix. I simply logged in under Ryan no password.........How stupid? Anyways hope this helps somebody in the future who has this same dumb XP problem. If you change the name on the admin account and create a second user account at the same time and can no longer use the admin account just type in the new name with no password in safe mode.......trippy.
