I'm having a puzzling problem that I'm hoping to resolve. I built this system a few months ago with a 2000+ processor.
Everything ran fine and stabile- no complaints there. Last week, won a 2200+ at a AMD event, installed it Fri, no problem. Today however, on the boot, got a beep code on post. The beep code is Beep, Beep pause Beep. From what I've been able to find out- thats a bit uncommon- but I am assuming its a memory problem
I've reset the CMOS, no luck. Because my monitor came on, but didn't display, Removed and Reset the Video card - then tried with a "known Good"- no luck. Removed and reset memory, no luck. Replaced Memory with "Known good" DDR- no luck. I'm now at the "anyone have a idea?" stage! Thoughts"?
Specifics:
AMD 2200+ processor
Gigabyte GA-7vrxp MB
512 MB Crucial PC 2100 DDR (2 256 MB sticks)
Gainward Geforce 3 64 mb ram <B>

Did you try reseating the CPU? Another thing to do is research the beep codes. Were they long beeps or short or a combination?
