puzzler - can't resolve domain names after installing Win2k SP2

Everything works great when I am running Win2K... But when I install SP2, I am unable to resolve DNS. I can ping Web sites by IP address, but not by domain name. I'm running Zone Alarm, but have tried disabling and DNS resolution still doesn't work. I'm on a DSL connection with a Cisco DSL modem - nothing fancy in between (no router, no firewall). I'm running a AMD 1.4 Thunderbird on a MSI board. The network card is a 3com 3c905.

I'm totally stumped on this one guys - any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Oh and yeah I know, if it isn't broke don't fix it right?

Checked the Event Log?

There may be something relating to DHCP or DNS servers in there.
