Putting together a USB CD burner

Being a cheap dude, I'm wondering if I buy an external 5.25" USB case, slap a CD-RW drive in it, will Nero recognize it? Assuming I load the USB drives for the drive case.

In other words, are there other drivers needed besides what usually comes with the USB case?

That should work.. Its the same as having it outside the case.. Just hook it up the same, No other drives should be needed...

yep it will work, but no quicker than 4x with usb 1 / 1.1.

you will have less problems if you run windows xp, but yes, it shoudl work, and nero will recognize it. assuming you have a version of nero that works with your cdrw.
