Putting together a thunderbird system, which heatsink do you recommend?

I'm putting together a thunderbird system for my brother. He won't be overclocking. Mostly, I'm concerned about cracking the core when I put the heatsink on. What heatsink should I buy? I want one that's a decent performer and won't make my hands sweat when I try to put it on the cpu. 😛

Try the Taisol (quite often the stock HSF which comes with the retail CPUs). You may find that it is more than adequate for your needs.

If you are not overclocking the chip, then a cheap CoolerMaster heatsink will work fine. Most Coolermaster heatsinks I've seen sell for less that $10, and have a very easy to install clip with a screwdriver (much easier than the Globalwin FOP32/38 -- I know, I removed the Coolermaster to replace it with a Globalwin).
