Putting together a thunderbird system, which heatsink do you recommend?

I'm putting together a thunderbird system for my brother. He won't be overclocking. Mostly, I'm concerned about cracking the core when I put the heatsink on. What heatsink should I buy? I want one that's a decent performer and won't make my hands sweat when I try to put it on the cpu. :p

Try the Taisol (quite often the stock HSF which comes with the retail CPUs). You may find that it is more than adequate for your needs.

I second the TaiSol. Make sure you get the slightly better model, rated up to 1.2gig.

If you are not overclocking the chip, then a cheap CoolerMaster heatsink will work fine. Most Coolermaster heatsinks I've seen sell for less that $10, and have a very easy to install clip with a screwdriver (much easier than the Globalwin FOP32/38 -- I know, I removed the Coolermaster to replace it with a Globalwin).
