Putting together a new P4 System.

I am putting together a new P4 system and want to get the latest p4 (2.53ghz 533fsb) This is very new and I was wondering if anyone has had first hand experience with this chip. If so, what motherboard did you get for it?

I am also looking to get a nice hard drive. I am used to SCSI but with the advances in IDE I don't know if it is worth the money. What make would you recommend?

Any experience with sound, video, CDRW, DVD and DVD-RAM would be great. I am also looking for a unique case.

Any information would be helpful, thanks!

Well...if you're spending that much on a top of the line P4...you might as well just go SCSI. You seem to be able to afford it.

Yeah. Well I am helping a friend build it, he really has no cap on what he wants to spend, he just wants top of the line.

Pretty much want a p4-2.53 Ghz
Latest Asus p4533 (i850E) motherboard
2x 512MB PC1066 RDram sticks
Leadtek GeForce 4 TI4600 or Asus TI4600 Deluxe
Sound Blaster Audigy Platinum (or if he listens to music a lot, I'd go with a Terratec Fire DMX6)

since you want SCSI, maybe an Adaptec 39160 u160 with some cheetah U160 15K rpm drives and SCSI CDRW/DVD drives... personally think that is overkill for a personal computer, seeing that the Western Digital 8MB 120GB is really good (or Seagate barracuda IV for quiet people).

If your friend wants a case, its either the Lian Li or Coolermaster full ATX / mid ATX case (depending on what size he wants). There are online stores where people can mod the case for you personally (putting in a plexiglass window and some cold cathode lights), that'd certainly be unique if you guys dont know how to do it.
