so for quite awhile now I have own a mis mash computer that started out as you standard Compaq presario (x-mas present). along the way I have upgraded the memory and added the video card (from the on-board intil to a Radeon 9200). I had built another computer mainly for internet and such for the lady that I worked for (in-home care). when she past away the family gave me the computer. she had spilt coffee on the tower. so i am not sure on any of the compents in the box. so mainly I am looking on just using the box. and transfering my HD, and CD-R-RW, and memory that i have in the compaq now.

I have been playing mainly mmorpgs on the Compaq (wow, SWG). but i have come to the point that the video card that i have will really not run newer games. that and the MB for the compaq has no AGP slot. so the video card is a PCI. so basicly i am looking for comments on the system as it will be after i move everything to the new box.

MB- MSI K9agm2-L
CPU- AMD Athlon 64 X2 3600+ ( i am not sure on this. is it really worth going dule core yet?)
memory- 760 MB 1 x512, 1x256 (I am wanting to trade out the 256 and putting in another 512)

the video card is someting else. to be honest, I am not sure on video cards anymore as there is just so many out there and my finaces are slim. I mean when a game point directily to your brand of video card and says that it won't run i figured it was time to get a new one. I was looking a getting a MSI RX1300 pro video card. but i am still researching and that may change.

well that is it if anyone could offer opions that would be great.
