Putting Pergo in my living room!

we're removing the carpet and putting pergo in our living room. pergo is basically fake wood. its durable and long lasting. my parents decided not to put in hardwood floors cause its expensive and they don't plan to stay here forever.

edit, if you want to turn this into a home improvement bragging thread, here's what we're doing to one of the properties we have (soon to be my house):

- Removing all carpeting and refinishing original 1948 oak floor. In case of excessive weather damage, will cover with Pergo
- Demolishing kitchen interior, replacing with all new appliances and cabinets
- Replacing 14 rotted wood windows with new vinyl ones
- Replacing 5 old and busted doors with fiberglass (front/rear) entryways and modern interior doors
- Complete refinishing of bathroom
- Removal of "popcorn ceiling"
- Complete repaint of interior/exterior

There. I win.
