Before I changed jobs I completed 9 credits of a masters program. I intend to return this fall after 3 semesters off (my enrollment was inactive for 2 semesters and I was officially withdrawn for the 3rd).

What is the proper way to list this on my resume? I right now I just have "September 2007 to Present". I worry this isn't 100% accurate. I don't want to deceive anyone or give that impression, but I want to get some "credit" for it since I carried a 3.7 thru the classes I did take.

Why are you applying for a job now if you're going back to school in a month? Is it just part-time or?

you kidding? milk it, dude. it's hard to get a job. it's better than not putting it. give the wrong impression if you can. clear it up later when it actually matters.

Depends on the job. Sometimes employers have this "overqualified" concern (well-founded or not), so having a Master's when applying to a $10 an hour job can easily lead to the garbage file in that case.

Luckily for me, the federal govt. (almost never?) cares about "overqualified", just whether you meet or exceed the listed job qualifications.
