My situation: I have 2 physical HDs. C, primary master, E, primary slave.
OS is win xp pro full version CD. Can I start up my computer then put the CD in
the drive and install the OS to drive E? I would like to tweak my settings of
XP on drive E over the next week or so before making it my primary HD. Then
erase and take out my original HD.
The original HD was mounted verically, I have since placed it in a 3.5 slot, but it seems to run slower. For example, when I clicked on the IE icon in quick launch it took about 30 seconds before IE opened. It also sounds louder when searching.
Or should I just boot from the floppy and spend all day tweaking it?
I don't want to spend any money on Ghost.
