Putting in my notice today

Well i've only been here about 2 years but the time has come. I've been offered a great job starting up the state university PMO. I'll be giving my boss my notice today..... never liked doing that, but has to be done.

Any stories on how you guys/gals did you resignation notice?

Well they do have great benefits. They also pay great!!

I've resigned only once. And it involved 2 dozen eggs and a walk in freezer.

The walk in freezer runs around 0 degrees F. Egg, once it cracks, freezes instantly to said wall.

I turned in my notice yesterday as a matter of fact. And I have moved jobs quite a lot, pretty common in today's tech industry.

How did I do it? I typed up a nice resignation letter addressed to my entire chain of command and personally handed it to each one of them. They were not pleased that I'm leaving them (I'm the only I&C guy onsite), but they respected me for doing it directly and I'm leaving with an open offer to come back if I desire to do so. :beer:

Last time I quit, I told them I joined the Marine Corps and appreciated everything. I gave them three weeks notice because I liked them and they needed me pretty badly.
