i am writing to ask for a better way to save
electricity than hitting the power switch on my
monitor, which is an LCD TV.
i have been turning the monitor off when i
am away from the computer, but i have the
feeling that the switch is getting a little worn
out.
i tried Display Properties/ Screen Saver/ Power,
then "Turn off monitor:" with "After 20 minutes"
as the setting. but the screensaver is still on.
it's a VGA connector, on a Samsung 1360 x 768
27" LCD TV.
is there a way in "Power Options Properties",
one of the menus that comes up, to put it into
the hibernate mode that Vista has - if you're using
an LCD TV as a monitor ?
Thanks in advance for any help.
oh yeah, i'm using XP32 Home Edition, SP2.
