Putting certifications on your resume

so have recently attained an MCP and am hopefully goign to pass my CCNA i'm taking next week.

ok, neither of these are "much" but how exactly should i put them in my resume?

right now i have a header "Computing Certificatifications and Qualifications" where i've put:

o Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP # xxxxxxx) Exam 70-290 (Managing and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Environment)
o Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Exam 640-801 (Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices)


looks like a mess IMO.

basically asking- is there a "neater" way of putting this.

and another thing-- does it look tacky to put the MCP logo on the resume? I've seen all sorts of resume, some people put their names followed by MCP (e.g. George Bush, MCP), some people put a logo of the MCP next to their name. Is this recommended to "eye catch" or no?

Thanks guys, any help would be appreciated.

they dont really need the test number.. I put mine with my other education and degrees
and its right on top.
tech recruiter helped me with my resume said they like them up top.

If the certs are related to the primary function of the job you applying for then put them at the top. If the certs are related to a secondary skill needed for the job then move them down below the experience section. Also, as the poster above said, keep it simple. If the cert is Cisco Certified Network Associate (#xxx) then say just that. If you want to emphasis the class "Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices" then add it to your education section.

ok, so what you're suggesting,

EDUCATION
- university of ------, 2003
- MCP
- CCNA


cause what i have now is

EDUCATION
- university-----

COMPUTING CERTIFICATIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- mcp
-ccna
- so and so programming languages
- so and so software


and how would i put mcp then- just plain MCP, or put at least a bit of info- exam # or exam title?
