Putting an XP mobile in desktop

A friend and I are building an AMD system and have some questions about the moble XP chips.

1. If we place one of the mobile XP CPUs in a Desktop do we need to change any of the voltage setting lower to make it work...I dont want fry the chip when I put it in due to too high of voltage.

2. How well do they overclock?

3. The chip we are looking at getting him is the 3000+ for the normal XP CPUs because of the 400MHZ FSB. Will a Mobile 3000+ preform as well as the normal XP with its slower 266Mhz bus?

We do plan on OC the system and are getting PC3700 RAM for it.
Sorry if some of these questions sound stupid...Im mainly an Intel guy.

1)no, it will auto set itself, just becarful when o/c ing it
2)Very well
3)didn't even know they made mobile 3000+

the mobile AMD's are the same socket as regular desktop ones so you will be using a desktop mobo and ram most likely.

IMO, your best bet would be to get the 2400+ XP-M, the 35W one. The multiplier on these chips are fully adjustable, and they easily run speeds of 2.0- 2.2Ghz, with a 200mhz FSB, @ less voltage than the desktop 3200+.

If you need more info, drop me a PM.
