The same person I will be after I am banned, if that is the way of things. The topic is glossed over elsewhere, so searching is futile, only to discover sarcastic replies such as the one above. People tend to keep asking questions until they get an answer (even if it may not be the one they want).

Ban me if you want, I'm not trying to be an ass about things. But when there are only 11 posts able to be on the frontpage of the FS/FT thread (coupled with the ferrocious activity in that forum), you'd be lucky to have your post on the frontpage for over 25 seconds at most itmes. I know, I've counted.

He's kinda right oldsmoboat. Every thread ends with "search for it", so searching really does no good. No answer has been given.

People wouldn't notice it if all of the current ones were in the body of some thread. People see a name in the title and it rings a bell. They click the link and they realize that they are dealing with a troll. I go about my business on FS/T without assuming the other person is a troll and I wouldn't normally look at the Troll thread, but if I noticed a name while I was scrolling down, my butt would be save.

Make a Trolls thread and when you have a deal brewing, do an advanced search using his/her username to search through said thread before completing the deal. This issue was brought up to arrest the amount of time that a new post stays on the first page (and as far as others are concerned, the ONLY page) because of the forums large activity.

I agree that the need to be able to tell if you are dealing with a Troll is vital; I don't dispute that. I just do not see why there needs to be (at this time) 4 Troll threads and 1 "Traders to Avoid" thread. By the way, the "Traders to Avoid" thread is perfect, just adapt it to house all trolls.

The reason there is more than one thread is because some of the Trolls may or do still have deals pending.
Someone may have looked thru the main thread and not seen a trolls name so they make a deal with "XYZ". Five minutes later (exaggeration for emphasis) someone proves "XYZ" is a Troll. Their name wasn't on the list. But now there is a thread about them so if anyone is in a deal with them they may see the thread and possibly stop their deal. They are not likely to look at the main thread again for the name of a person they are in a current deal with.
I think that makes perfect sense, I don't see why there is opposition to it.
EDIT: Spelling

I concede that it does make sense, but so does my suggestion, only mine takes up less room. If you ask me (and I note that didn't happen), the onus of whether or not a member is dealing with a troll should be on said member.

Don't get me wrong, I love that you guys support this type of alert ... I know what it's like to get burnt and know that there are some forums around that couldn't give a sh!t less; I just thought my idea had merit and would be worth consideration.

I do thank you for the answer, oldsmoboat :)

No problem. But the simple answer is to change your settings. I set mine for 100 per page.
