Putting a heatsink on a new CPU

Hi all, I'm putting the heatsink on my new cpu and the arctic silver site calls for a lint free cloth and some alcohol to clean both things off first. Does it have to be a lint free cloth? Could I just use a paper towel or something?

you probably don't need a lint free cloth, but they probably suggest it to get maximum benefit from the arctic silver thermal paste. i doubt it would cause any problems.
