putting 256MB in Motherboard that supports only 128 chips?

Hey all,

I just purchased some crucial 256MB 133 memory in preperation for my upgrade. I was curious what would happen if I put this chip in my TMC t15vg+ board. The documentation says only 128 memory chips fit....however would it at least register 128 of the 256? Or would it fry the memory?

It won't fry the memory. Either it will work and register 128MB of RAM, or just not work at all.

Hey...just put it in....register the whole 256MB....now have a whopping 384MB...Thanks Andy for the quick reply. Just goes to show you....never trust the documentation.
