Yet in an interview Trump attempted to normalize this kind of regime by claiming we are just as bad. I can't recall journalists who are critical of any administration being poisoned or murdered. I seem to recall when Obama just said this country "isn't perfect" all of a sudden he hated America and was on an apology tour.

But Trump did make a "joke" wink...wink about wanting to do that same thing

A Russian opposition politician who fell into a coma due to poisoning this month has left the country for treatment abroad after his condition improved, his lawyer said Sunday
Vladimir Kara-Murza flew out of the country... to go through rehabilitation treatment after his second acute poisoning

"ah, that was good meal... I am done."
"Wait, Vlad - how about some chocolate mousse?"
"oh, I don't know, last time I had chocolate mousse I had to go to hospital because of poisoning...."
"Come on, Vlad! What are odds of that happening again? Live a little...."
"oh, Okay! Mousse me!"
