So let me get this straight, Putting wants another meeting alone with Trump when we don't know what Trump gave up from the first meeting?

We do know afterwards he dissed our own intelligence agencies in favor of Uncle Vlad. Last time the question was asked our own senior government officials didn't even know what Trump gave away.

Trump can do no wrong in the eyes of his supporters and those knuckle head Repubs in Congress who are supposed to put a check on Trump are keeping their hands off of him because of that.

My first thought was, "Just stick a bug in Trump's clothing and record the whole thing.". However, I can't believe Putin would be stupid enough to say anything genuinely compromising in such a meeting, and might even use vaguely suggestive wording for the benefit of recording devices. I'd still recommend recording it though.

It makes sense. That way they can compare notes and Putin can give instructions in crayon and pictures. The last bit about withdrawing from the treaty was pretty smart as it releases Russia from any obligations and can carry on in plain sight, not covertly.

17 of our intelligence agencies already already told him & the world that Russia meddled in the election, hard. Trump said he didn't see any reason why it would be Russia. After the uproar, he says he meant to say he didn't see any reason it wouldn't be Russia & the True Believers get right back into their delusional groove.

Realizing that their headsets have been twiddled by Russian propagandists would be more than they could bear, so they just don't. It's apparently like being in love with somebody who's robbing you blind.

This is why Trump refuses to get real with Putin. Trump and his followers understand that without Putin's formidable power to influence our voters into voting for Trump, the orange tinted walking disaster zone and those shithead Repubs who are riding his coat tails would get smothered in epic losses at the polls.

Ergo, we get utter silence from the right about the proven beyond doubt fact that Russia meddled in our last elections that helped Trump and Repubs in general win elections. We get crickets from Trump and his lackeys in Congress about how incensed and alarmed we should be about Russia's interference and how we should be attempting our utmost to prevent Putin from doing that shit all over again in this upcoming election cycle.

The Repubs, from Trump right on down to every red MAGA cap wearing "patriotic true blue American" through their incriminating silence, is giving Putin tacit approval and acknowledgement that his assistance is again requested to help them win/ keep control over the gov't.

This is as traitorous to our nation as any American could ever get where they are hoping for a powerful foreign enemy's help to criminally corrupt our most treasured and valued ability to have a say in how our gov't should run.

My own unsubstantiated rumor--Trump's excuse to skip the US Marine memorial event due to "weather" could've been cover to meet with one of Putin's delegates instead.
