So I wonder how many other Americans are still within Putin's grasp in Russia so he can offer them up at his swap meets. What with our supporting Ukraine's fight for freedom, I'm assuming any American without diplomatic immunity has already cleared out? If not, shouldn't they assume full responsibility for their choices and not expect the American gov't, their families and loved ones to bail their asses out should they be rounded up and put up for sale or trade?
NASA still has personnel who work in Russian. We also fly to Kazakhstan to pick up our astronauts when they fly on the Soyuz.

It’s a risk but so far they don’t appear to want to blow up the relationship that allows the ISS to work.

Nice. Still some fight in him yet.

Though I am not sure how many of these Americans were Russian prisoners prior to Russia declaring war on life in 2022.

I'm sure Biden has a very special place in his heart for Trump and his MAGAts. If Harris wins, wouldn't it be so fitting for her to pick Biden as her AG where with her immunity card those corrupted conservative SCOTUS justices blessed the presidency with and Biden's vast experience at politicking the system, Trump would rather flee to Russia than face the same revenge and retribution he would have applied to Biden and Harris.

Lately my only response is “It's got to be aliens next.”

I'm just still amazed Biden and Harris got Putin to let Vladimir Kara-Murza go free. I missed his inclusion in the deal earlier, still kind of gobsmacked. Really thought he was a goner. Awesome news and a new lease on life for him.

Now don't go back until Putin's dead, Vlad!

Yes, definitely a shocker, the same with Navalny if what was reported that he was involved and agreed to. I'm sure Vlad had second thoughts and having him killed was better than any freedom for someone with his reach.

Republicans are grumbling and buthurt because they don’t want any big news that makes Biden and Harris look good. They can suck it, this was some excellent worldwide diplomacy with a great result. And of course, it steals one of Trump’s talking points about how he’d get those prisoners back day one if elected. Or maybe in 2 weeks

Trump ; - "By the way I would like to congratulate Vladimir Putin for having made yet another great deal.

Imagine being Paul Whelan, an American who was held hostage in Russia for 5 years and here's Trump congratulating Putin.

Trump displays his disloyal disposition toward our nation by consistently heaping praise on those intent on destroying us. Trump constantly praises Putin, but hasn't nothing good to say about America. He's the first and last US "'President" who saluted a North Korean communist general.

This is how a real American would respond - "Congratulations to those wrongly jailed Americans on their safe return home and to their families. The nation is grateful to all of those who helped to bring them home."

Trump is a self aggrandizing narcissist with no regard for this country or it's people. He has managed to dupe people into thinking he's going to help them and this country. The only person he's interested in is himself and the cronies he serves. Trump can’t help himself. It’s no different than if he was up there supporting the famous genocidal dictators of the previous century. 90 days to go. What more evidence do you need to compel you to stay away from this fucking guy?

That’s all well and good so long as you accept reality. The problem is that there are many people (including a few on this forum) that don’t accept reality. They will make excuses why Trump didn’t say what we heard, or meant what he said, or what he said was ok because of reasons, or other people said worse. They are brainwashed and are in some weird unorganized (or is it) cult.

I think it is about time we have a ban of all Russians in this country. We've already told our people not to go to Russia, let's kick out every Russian who is not a citizen.

Ambassadors will only be allowed on their embassy's property. If they need to leave the ground they must be accompanied by a CIA agent.

Don't know if it's feasible but maybe time for the discussion. More useful vs that Trump Muslim ban.

Yes, laugh and imagine a world without NATO.
Imagine the world before WW2. That is where we are headed, where the primary function of nations is war upon each other. There will be no shelter from the storm, or the nuclear fallout.

If the US is Putin's bitch, Europe will be Putin's discount labor.

The real effects of Putin having a puppet as US President will be a lot less hilarious for those physically closer to Putin.

Like, Airstrip One levels of less hilarious.

Just forces our guys to be prisoners in their own embassy. Not a good idea. You do realize that many embassy personnel are not just stamping visas.
