He probably drank it in the same way he ate and drank every day after putting himself on Putin's shit list (i.e. hoping that what he was eating or drinking today wasn't going to be what killed him). Plus, Putin has marginalized him in recent years to the point where he is really more of an irritant (albeit a popular one) rather than a serious threat to him.

Don't forget that Putin also had Alexander Litvinenko killed in London with poisoned tea (containing radioactive Polonium-210). Poison is apparently Putin's thing - I guess he gets off on making them really suffer before they die.

TBH, I woke up an hour ago thinking about this. Yes, IMO he looked like a man who was thinking just as you say, "is this poisoned by Putin?" He had a very worried look on his face. Well, I may have projected that, at least some.

Putin gives me the creeps as does Russia, a place where this can and does happen repeatedly. Vile. Villainy. The worst kind, highly sadistic clandestine murder inspiring fear among the populace. Trump (Putin fanboy) must go.
"No collusion" Trump still hasn't commented on it as of today.
He's committed to being unilaterally politically INcorrect. How can a man like that be our exalted leader? The USA is a looney bin.

Everybody looks at Putin like he is just a narcissistic asshole, but they forget (or are too young to understand the significance) that he is an narcissistic asshole who was trained by the KGB as an foreign intelligence officer. People like that, especially one that managed to become a lieutenant Colonel in the Red Army, never ever put aside their training and always have a plan. He is always going to put a KGB-style slant on dealing with the rest of the world, which means he'll go to brute force extremes that "civilized" people wouldn't expect without even a second thought. While you and I and quite a few of the people who post here are still old enough to remember what the real Soviet Union (not the bumbling caricature that it ended as) was like, there are an increasingly larger number of younger ones (both in this forum, and in the country as a whole) who are absolutely clueless.

In comparison, the Great Orange Turd is a bumbling idiot of such proportions that his existence could never have been forseen by the people who founded this country. The law just can't deal with that level of stupidity. Our only hope of salvaging something of this country if he is re-elected is if the Democrats hold the House and take the majority in the Senate so they can once and for all finally impeach him. And this opinion is coming from a conservative (albeit a sane one, of which there aren't many of us).

Hopefully not "we're looking at it... for pointers".

God, I hope not. Of course, on the bright side, Trump and and VP Cueball would probably just poison themselves...tamper proof bottles are so complicated to figure out when you are an idiot, after all....

Thing is, who many assassination attempts have been attempted on Putin? Like how many food testers has he gone through so far?

I suspect we won't hear about any of them unless they were very public. Putin wants to convey the image that he's beloved, even if he's terrified that someone will 'return the favor.'

I'm not convinced. It seems fairly silly to try and out-KGB a KGB agent, unless one is significantly better versed in such matters.

It's a hell of a scare tactic against his opponents too.

Not sure if its been mentioned yet but reputable news outlets are reporting that the poisoning agent was Novichok. Just saying...

And this guy in the UK (and his daughter, probably unintentionally):

IMO the West has to be willing to go to war because Putin keeps doing shit like this and pretending he hasn't. Obviously they should try softer tactics first (such as being willing to sacrifice the gas pipeline that supplies Europe), but IMO Putin only respects the mobster mentality of being willing to do what your opponent won't.

Trump finally commented about Navalny... by saying there is no evidence that the Russians poisoned him with nerve gas! Never mind the German's toxicology showing beyond doubt that he was poisoned with the same Russian nerve gas they used to poison their former agent in the UK.

One day we are going to get to the bottom of why Trump has had his nose so far up Putin's ass all these years.

The only reason springing to mind that would surprise me would be that Trump was traumatised by being literally raped by Putin. Otherwise I'm sure that one of us could guess the real reason with reasonable accuracy within about 5 minutes: Putin has something on Trump, has provided something for Trump, or has promised Trump something in exchange for his complicity. Who fucking cares what the specifics are, it's going to be as dull as ditchwater/Trump is. My only hope is that America can survive it without sustaining the kind of damage that lasts generations.

Considering that he used to regularly hang around people like Jeffrey Epstein, there is no telling what history will end up turning up.

But, you know what? It won't matter. His little butt-monkey minions are all over the government and trying to get elected to Congress, all the while aping his amoral behavior. The law has shown it is incapable of dealing with Trump, so how will it deal with hordes of them?

The damage he's done is already going to last generations, if it can ever be healed.

This is great and exactly what America deserves

In plain English, he's compromised, and he's the fucking president of the US.

speaking of which, what are the odds of Biden getting a mysterious poison?
hmm...

I think Trump being President for another four years means enough of the population is falling for his shit, at which point the administration can feel secure about using dodgier means of maintaining power.
