Come on guys! You don't think some hackers could have set up Russia? I mean its not like the hacks benefited Russia in any form. A weakened nato hurts Russia not helps. An isolated US spells bad news for Russia. On top of that you've got a US that doesn't want to lead in trade or fixing climate, oh man, Russia is losing big time on that one.

If anything Russia comes out losing for these hacker shenanigans! I mean their reputation is completely ruined here folks!

I think Putin's defense consists of:

"I say that the Russian government had nothing to do with it. It could have been anyone - an American using Russian IP's, a Russian citizen doing it for the hell of it. Anyone. Prove me wrong, with undeniable proof."

Personally, I think he knows exactly what happened and is likely responsible. Not that we can do anything to him personally if he was. Regardless, the onus is on the USA to produce the hard undeniable evidence.

You're just tired of winning

Yes and no, if I strongly think you are stealing my lunch at work I'll definitely seek revenge and observe your behavior at the refrigerator. I don't need undeniable evidence.

Well said, and true. On the downside, we are talking about a nuclear state with more warheads at the ready than any other power, so a good solid case works to your favor.

To take it a step further, you don't need undeniable evidence for your lunch, but what if the person stealing it is a 300 pound unpredictable, armed and violent ex-felon that empties the garbage at 4am while you are not there? Proof would definitely get you bit more protection from the local police, revenge would be unwise, and observation would be difficult.

Russia is the new name for the unpredictable 300 pound violent ex-felon working at 4am that used to be known as the USSR.

Maybe this is a plan by both parties for a new cold war. Who knows?

While we're on the subject, did 0bama's taste like black licorice or an Oreo cookie?

This crosses the bright line of racism.

Trumpsters have to deny Russian meddling. They don't want to figure out what it means to be on the same side of the election with a foreign power who wasn't trying to do America any favors. They want that to stay completely compartmentalized & parked right in their blind spot, right where expert propagandists put it.

I don't besmirch their intentions. They're caught in a mental trap. Right or wrong, they defend leaps of Faith already made, compartmentalize & deny contrary information.

Be careful of what you believe in? Not them.

Con men & propagandists know how to exploit that.

I have a feeling America and Russia have been working together covertly for the past 70 years. Yeah, on the surface they are competitors but that's just the surface. You've got to remember these are imperialist countries that only trash talk each other. They bomb and destroy innocent countries while taking the high moral ground. But that's what imperialist countries do.

So, uhh, the Russians meddled in our election to help us make the right choice for America, or what? Because we've really been working together all along?

What planet are you from, anyway?

Meddling in the affairs of competitors is Putin's job though.

Our job is to not be deceived by bullshit.

If all of this stuff, that falls short of actually "rigging" the election, is true it says way more about us than them.

There is a silver lining here. The international platform that is the internet empowers foreign entities that wants to meddle to an unprecendented degree and targets the silent 'majority'.. Now that this is a threat vector established parties has to cater to the 'silent'(not so silent now..) majority as well... Doing the math, income expense and paying the taxes, this will come out as a clear win for democracy... More people will get heard. (you just need to survive the dummy in office right now, I think colbert called it in regards to his recent EU trip "boohoo europe, it is not like he is *your* president.")

"Russia" didn't hack the election, clown. Our brilliant always-believed-by-the-left "intelligence" services say Russia hacked the DNC, which allowed everyone to read about Hillary's and the DNC's enormous corruption. No wonder you're so upset :)

^^^
Russian troll or commie traitor cuck.

I'll feel better once they are purged and true patriots are back in control and actually defending the nation, not the saboteurs we have now.

No it's not, and certainly not publicly so to compromise our methods and sources.

This isn't a jury trial, this is a counter-intel. Your argument is asking to just stand there in a dark room getting punched in the face until we can figure out who is doing it, from which direction, why, and what they had for breakfast.

We certainly don't need to be fearful of Russia, a second-world former power with a middling economy the size of Italy.

We had nuclear weapons pointed at us and ongoing proxy wars for decades. I don't get why all these alt right bedwetters are suddenly so terrified to even confront Russia. WTF, should be fearful of us.
