Not the Russian government, mind you, but "patriotic Russians" may have taken it upon themselves to do so.

He thinks he's being clever here. If the evidence of Russian hacking is overwhelming, this is a fallback position. Sure, Russians may have done it, but HE didn't have anything to do with it.

Putin's prevarications are hilarious. I don't understand how anyone can take a damn thing he says seriously.

I think it's important to use the correct verbiage to describe Russia's actions. Russia hacked the DNC and Podesta's email accounts/email servers, then they went on to give those emails to Wikileaks. Wikileaks then strategically released those emails in a slow drip to do as much damage as possible to Clinton and help Trump. They also spread fake news and conspiracy theories via social media, that were also picked up by fringe sites like Breitbart, Daily Caller, Gateway Pundit etc. and spread via the internet.

They did not 'hack the election' in the sense of actually hacking results. What they did was run an influence psyops campaign against Americans to influence how they voted. Using the email releases through Wikileaks and insane fake news/conspiracies to influence voters.

Important to point out because many of the right-wing fanatics seem to be keyed on the 'hacked the election' statement verbatim and how that is not accurate. Leading some of the more far gone among them to think Russia didn't actually do anything at all. Although I'd bet a lot of them who claim Russia did nothing were influenced by the emails, and the fake news they digested from Russia. Denying it not because they don't understand the details, but because they realize they were marks and were played.

"Russia" didn't hack the election, clown. Our brilliant always-believed-by-the-left "intelligence" services say Russia hacked the DNC, which allowed everyone to read about Hillary's and the DNC's enormous corruption. No wonder you're so upset :)

I'm mean for christ's sake the head of the FBI himself was influenced by Russian propaganda, so to claim the Russians didn't influence the election is a verifiable lie.

Just like the "patriotic Russians" that invaded Ukraine, in Russian equipment, wearing Russian uniforms?

He's literally rubbing it in our faces and openly gloating about it because he knows there won't be any repercussions, if anything this is going to let them sweep the whole thing under the rug, as Russia will do a dog and pony show of arresting some dissidents and claim they were behind it. Maybe even extradite them to the US to try and claim it as some attempt at improving relations (wherein of course Trump could then remove the sanctions). Hell they might would even toss Snowden in as well, since that would almost certainly overshadow the rest. Russia could even say that the only reason they were trying to get info was because they're trying to expose Obama and Hillary screwing with their elections.

I'm well aware that they didn't hack ballot machines. I used that term as a shorthand, because it's brief enough to fit into a subject line and I figured everyone knows by now what was hacked and what wasn't.

Is there a way to alter your own subject line?

Fixed it for you.

Wow you managed to suck Trump's and Putin's balls at the same time. Need a new word for this.

Correct verbage is there is currently no evidence voting machines were hacked. Those machines are not the election in total. Election was hacked and now your second boyfriend has all but confirmed.

I suspect this admission is likely due to the US Intelligence communities having solid proof that the Hacking originated in Russia. Which makes me wonder if Trump himself passed on the Intel to the Russians to let them know what the situation is with regards to what US Intel is on this subject. I suppose it might not come from Trump, but that wouldn't surprise me at this time.

Yes, I saw this earlier. Reminded me a whole lot of the tactics / information offensive around Crimea and eastern Ukriane
1. Denial : We were never there
2. Obfuscation : Maybe we were
3. Bragging rights: Of course we were there.

The US now has a case of stage-2 Putin.

While we're on the subject, did 0bama's taste like black licorice or an Oreo cookie?

This crosses the bright line of racism.
