Puter only starts in Safe Mode, Help!!!

Wife did something now the computer only starts in Safe mode. How Do I get it to boot normally. All help appreciated.

well, usually safe mode occurs once, then the next reboot goes back to the normal boot... if it ONLY boots in safe mode, what OS are you running... if win 98, i suggest just re-installing the OS over the previous, this is completely safe and all your programs will retain their associations and such,... the only annoying thing is if you deleted windows items i.e. wallpapers, desktops, netmeeting, etc... the re-install usually puts all this crap back on and you have to manually uninstall them and remove... also, re-installing usually undoes windows updates that you've gotten from the web... however, this is still a very easy solution to OS corruptions etc... good luck!

Hold ctrl key as you boot, when the startup menu comes up, select normal......

Edit the file c:\msdos.sys with a PLAIN text editor such as notepad and you will see an entry like
BootMenu=1
Just edit that entry to read
BootMenu=0
