Grrrr
I swear....
So an organization is all controlled by one person. The person abuses their power and ignores everyone's input. Person gets overthrown by people who care about the organization, site is taken over and all is back to normal. Staff is now only 5 people. Power is distributed between them. Two of those people decide to start running their own show. Changing rules and removing moderators without voting on it. They get called on it by one of the staff members and say "Fine, we'll freaking vote on it if its such a critial issue". One of the staff members made suggestions about changes that should be made to make things more democractic. The person in charge of the site answers that they don't appreciate all this red tape and that the organization is becoming anal. Another staff member posts and says he supports the changes and admits the orgnization has been handled too loosely lately. Person in charge of site bans that staff member then all hell breaks loose. Keep in mind, this is just the organization's website and they do exist in reality locally and are just using the web to communicate.
Gah, some days I wonder if there's any point to such organizations. People just worry about their ego and play stupid mind games that end up no where. What happened to real team work?
Please share some of your stories....I'll feel better too to see that we're not the only organization this happens to....
