put together my old setup... but its loading windows slow

i am setting up my old rig for a friend but it is loading windows sooo slow. same mobo, ram and CPU... The only thing i can think of that makes it slow is the dvdr rom or the HHDs. i have 2 HDDs set up and 1 DVDr. I never had this problem before. i have the harddrives set on master and slave and the DVDr is set to master. the HDDs are in IDE1 and the DVDR is in IDE2. so im not sure why its loading slow. its an MSI K8T neo mobo and a amd 3000+

Why would this be loading windows so slow? it takes like 10 minutes to get to the point to select the drive to save windows to.

There's a high chance that the HDDs or the DVDr are not using the proper mode or proper cables. Check out the settings in the BIOS.

i dont know what i did, but after an hour of tinkering, it worked fine. thanks for the reply
