I took ALOT of photos; close to 1,100.

I had some free time at work, so I went through, picked out some of the good ones, and for artistic effect, I applied an 'old photo' and 'film grain' filter to them.

It makes the destruction look pretty timeless.

These look like total shit.

What where you trying to acheive with this photo effect? Just show us what you are seeing,... unless you have some sort of eye condition where you view the world as if your eyes have rust in then.

For fuck's sake,... stop it.

Yes - the tree pic works as just an artsy type picture.

But everything else can just be raw, as is and untouched.

I'll have the raw pics sorted soon. There's just too many at this point. And lots of dupes since I was trying to get decent exposure.

Apologies on the intial dick comment. But, it looks like you are trying to go for a 1940ish-esque look. It really works with the tree and some pics that don't hint any modern archtecture and devices.

None the less, keep at it.

:)

I was thinking the same thing. It's really hit and miss. The areas where it's just destruction, it seems to work. With modern vehicles, not so much.

I'll be sorting and playing with these pics for weeks. Some of them turned out really well.

Honestly, I can only look at them for so long. So it's going to be a slow process.

You should start a contest to let other people take pictures and post process them for you.

Did you see the semi wrapped around the tree over by St. Johns? I was helping not sight-seeing, so I didn't take a picture of the tree - but I saw multiple rubberneckers taking pictures.

Also it's all so depressing, it's hard to take pictures.

I didn't get a chance to get over to the Hospital.

The first half of my photos were all right in the area where that Gas Station (the viral 'first person' video of the tornado was filmed here) was. It was such a cluster fvck of people trying to help that I had to just walk away from it.. This is when I'd walk down the street and snap some photos.

The 2nd day, me and another guy got dropped off at the wrong site, and had to walk back to camp. This is when I took most of the pictures of the various houses and such.

I didn't plan on walking all around the city, but getting dropped off in an area that I didn't know, when it was the way it was, was pretty crazy. So I just started snapping pics of everything.

Didn't realize that you were on a work crew, thanks you for your help.

I'll be on site helping cleanup on Saturday - either go out with a group from College Heights or I'll be over near Duquesne helping with the cleanup effort.

Stay safe.
