Today is a day of morning or jubilation depending on how you feel towards these things. I dismantled the first PC I ever bought and threw it away. It was a Packard Bell Pentium 60. The first computer I ever owned (a Commodore 64) still works but is in retirement in my parents attic along with my Amiga. But the PB was my first foray into the PC scene, and it cost me a bundle, $1500 for just the desktop with 8 MB RAM and a 1MB video card.

She was just a humble 'puter
But I'm gonna miss her so;
She is now in PC Heaven,
Where the Timex Sinclairs go,
Where the Lord's your surge protector
