This is what happens when single mothers raise male children. They become big pussies.

The mysogination of our children will continue until we restore some assmebly of family values by having men owning up to their responsibilities and no longer being absentee fathers.

Parenting is on a sharp downturn.

I won't be surprised if the next 20 years turn out kids who are worse than todays'. Then again, maybe it's just the people who grew up in the 60s and 70s that are turning into such awful parents. I dare say that these days are a lot better than the 70s.

I also blame it on lawyers.

Medical costs have skyrocketed because of frivious lawsuits filed to gouge money by the "Trip & Fall" crowed of Trial Lawyers. Malpractice insurance is outta hand expensive (The AMA needs reform too)

Because medical treatment costs are so high (see above), familiy medical insurance is too high for far too many Americans. Whether employed or not.

Because the treatment costs are so high, many families cannot afford to pay if insurance doesn't cover it. Hence, they may threaten lawsuits to pay for what they otherwise can't afford. Lawyers will be happy to encourage them to sue and accomodate it.

School system, fearful of lawsuits, imposes otherwise ridiculous policy.

One thing leads to another. Lawyers frighten us into being wussies, make us write stupid stuff on products, like "Do Not Eat" on car batteries and other such nonsence.

Those kinds of lawyers are only opportunists, drawn to the real problem, lazy parenting.

Ditto. AND, I'd support such a ban. I hate it when kids use those body sprays to spray down their clothes in the hallway; the lingering cloud about gags me. I've heard of cases where asthmatic children were severely affected by the stuff.

Related to the original story, I hope that someone (just to point out the idiocy of these laws) sues the school district for promoting a sedentary lifestyle for their children, leading to health problems in the future (obesity, etc.)

As a former P.E. teacher I wholeheartedly support the school banning the play of tag at recess and other unsupervised times. But a law doing so is overboard.

Why? What are the kids supposed to do at recess? Sit there and look at each other? Stand around and just talk? How many teachers will 'volunteer' to supervise 'tag' - none probably - so basically it is now gone. . . .

Are we that scared of a kid skinning his knee or busting an elbow?

None ? There are always teachers in the school yard during lunch time. Well there were when I was a kid. The reason I see for banning it when not supervised is because some sick little bastard's son/daughter might take it to far and start a fight or stick their fingers in your daughters twat. Boy that would be funny wouldn't it ? Bet you'd have a good laugh then.

It's a shame that the greed of lawyers and individuals has pushed lawsuits so far. On the other hand, this law is for unsupervised activities, correct? Well I don't see how that is the "pussification" of America. It makes sense to make sure that activities like that are supervised by a teacher. I would have thought that recess supervision was mandatory already.

Collisions on the playground happen more from tag than organized games. I always liked well organized games of kickball, touch football, etc. Its not that tag is a bad game, its just too disorganized and the kids running around with their heads turned away from potential obstacles. I've seen too many instances where kids ran straight into poles on the playground doing it. (Most school playgrounds include basketball courts and whatnot that have poles sticking up from the ground.) We just banned tag altogether and told the kids to figure something else out like four square or something. Even red rover is less dangerous than tag in these situations. Before some of you loudmouths around here call it the pussification of kids perhaps you should pull the asshat off and look at the big picture.

This does not bode well for our armed forces when these kids grow up they will have no balls.

The integrity and balls of this Country is being whittled away from the top down yet the top still expect our children to join the armed forces?

Very hypocritical Government indeed.

They whine about Radical Religious Countries breeding their children for blowing themselves and everyone around them up yet won't even allow the children here to play tag.

10-18-2006 Massachusetts joins Wyoming, Washington and South Carolina banning Tag

ATTLEBORO, Mass. - Tag, you're out! Officials at an elementary school south of Boston have banned kids from playing tag, touch football and any other unsupervised chase game during recess for fear they'll get hurt and hold the school liable.

Elementary schools in Cheyenne, Wyo., and Spokane, Wash., also recently banned tag during recess.

A suburban Charleston, South Carolina school outlawed all unsupervised contact sports.

Still putting your own spin on things I see....
This is nothing more than a school looking out for there best interest!!
What with everybody being sue happy!!!
Nice try though!!

This explains a lot of posters in here.

They really are becoming girls.

10-27-2006 Testosterone Tumbling in American Males

Over the past two decades, levels of the sex hormone in U.S. men have been falling steadily, a new study finds.

For example, average total testosterone levels in men aged 65 to 69 fell from 503 nanograms/decileter (ng/dL) in 1988 to 423 ng/dL in 2003.

The reasons for this trend are unclear, said researchers at the New England Research Institutes in Waterdown, Mass. They noted that neither aging nor certain other health factors, such as smoking or obesity, can fully explain the decline.

Low testosterone levels have been linked to health problems, including lowered libido and diabetes.

It's normal for men's testosterone levels to peak in their late 20s and then start to gradually decline, experts say. But this study found that overall testosterone levels are lower than they were 20 years ago.

Wow, it's usually hard to post something stupider than Dave in his own thread. But you really went for that brass ring didn't you....
