I walked out of buying a widescreen TV a few years ago because the sales person seemed to think it was her mission in life to force an extended warranty on me.

I never walk into a store without knowing exactly what I want to buy and what I'll pay for it. That is the Ferengi way.

i love the salespeople at best buy, they're all friendly and knowledgeable. Especially those "Geek Squad" guys, they're awesome!

love = wish painful death upon
friendly = stoned high school dropouts
knowledgeable = know jack about sh!t
awesome = effin worthless

I research the hell out of something I'm going to buy. If a salesman is involved, it's probably a major purchase, so it's in your best interest to do this. With the Internet, I usually end up being more informed than the salesman, so they don't tend to get pushy.

I never talk to salesmen, they are a useless annoyance that anyone with a brain need only call when time for them to get something off the top shelf. Car salesmen are useless also....I already know what I'm paying before I ever get to the dealership.

I concur...

agreed....

Whenever a salesman comes near me and opens his/her mouth I immediately speak and say "I'm just looking". I don't give them the chance to give pressure. I typically go to at least 3 stores before making a big purchase to compare goods/prices, so I am being honest.

Then if I do have a question or want to buy, I'll go to the salesman who didn't approach me.

I never buy from the salesman. However, I do keep asking questions and leading him on like I will buy, and then I back off and walk away.

I never buy if a salesmen is pushy. I'll give them two pleasant rejections before turning and walking away. Same policy for telemarketers.

I hate salesmen. I used to be one last summer so I know a lot of tricks they use. Now I just avoid them or I play their 'game'.

I generally want to punch all salespeople in the face.

I'm a "leave me the fvck alone" shopper. I can appreciate being asked once If I need any help, and when I say "no thanks" you better leave me alone or I'll leave.

I take a LONG time to shop and I don't like being distracted while I'm making my decisions...
