Hello there,
I'm having trouble pushing my P3450Mhz.
I want to get up to 600Mhz. I've heard this is possible.
The problem is that whenever i change it to 600Mhz (through BIOS),
the system isn't taking it so well. Either it crash at start, or it
doesn't start ever :|
Plus, when i push it to lower frequences like 501Mhz or something,
I have problem playing certain games. Crashes are very common and generally
I have unstability in the system.
Can anyone help me and advise me on how to continue pushing my CPU?
I'm quite a newbie at o/c, I'm very willing to learn new things.

My System:
P3 450Mhz,
M/B P6I44OBX BrillianX 1S,
RAM 128MB PC10O,
HD Quantum Fireball 13.6 & 6.4,
Voodoo 3 3000,
SB Live! Player.

Thanks in advance,
SiLeNcER

You most likely will need to bump up the voltage. That motherboard is a ??? Never heard of it.
Does it have a voltage adjustment?
I have a PIII 450 that does up to 630 at default voltage and 675 at 2.2v. It is an SL37C, retail, but I installed an Alpha on it. I've been pretesting and selling overclocked cpus quite awhile and that was one of my best PIII 450s so I've hung on to it....although I sold it once, then had an opportunity to buy it back. :)

u should get something to cool those cache chips. they are likely the limiting factor, and cooling them will help with stabilty and possibly go a bit higher.

QDI is basically an OEM manufacturer trying to go retail....keyword = trying.
Not bad mobo's, but not overclocking mobo's, that's for sure.

TO get 600, you probably will need pc133 ram, and I highly doubt the mobo has any bus speeds over 112fsb
