Push a CL3 Kingston Memory to CL2: Is it possible/stable?

I have a 256meg Kingston CL3 SDRAM, and now that RAMs are so cheap, I'm thinking about buying another 256meg stick. However, this time around I would like to buy the CL2(cas 2). Can I push my old Kingston to run as CAS2 along with the new Ram? Has anyone tried it and wishes to share his/her experiences?
