Purple plastic 3.5" drive cage fan mounts...

I recently purchased the Thermaltake Xaser II 6000 A aluminum ATX case based on the Chieftec/Chenming Dragon series midtower. I love how one of the 3.5" drive cages has a purple fan mount in it. It's critical for me, as I have six 7200rpm hard drives in here, being that I have two RAID arrays. The problem I have, is that the other 3.5" drive cage does not have a similar purple fan mount, and the other three in the case are a different design (the ones that mount onto the case, not the drive cage) and will not mount to the drive cage. Is there anywhere, that anyone knows, where I can purchase another such purple fan mount cage for the 3.5" drive cage? My floppy drive is mounted in a 5.25" drive bay with face that belonged once to my old internal zip drive that is no longer in use. I'd prefer to usea single fan cooling my 3 hard drives mounted into the cage rather than have 2 drives uncooled and one mounted in a 5.25" drive cooled. Thanks for any help that anyone can provide!

If you cant find any, try emailing TT and say youre looking for another or that you've broke the clips off yours or something. They probably cost like 10c to make so theyll probably think its worth a bit of post purchase service by sending a spare out to someone who bought a >$100 case.

Ive the same chasis and as i mind, there's no venting behind the fixed hdd rack, so not sure how well it'll ventilate... i guess will at least get air moving around all those drives.

That's the same basic Chenming case as the Antec sx1030, so call Antec, tell them you have a 1030, and that you want to buy that part. They're one of a few outfits that actually HAVE parts. Stretching the truth a bit, but you're not asking something for nothing...

Also, a 92mm fan is a perfect fit w/o the holder, use a few small dabs of silicone seal to secure it in place....

What he said ^^^^^^^

You can get better cooling with a 92mm fan anyway, or you could 7-volt it and have the same cooling as with an 80mm fan but less noise, if that matters to you.

I just bought three fan mounts for my case, it's the big server case by Antec, customer service at 1-888-542-6832 takes the order.
