Question folks, do we need to regularly purge a watercooled system?

a friend's system makes gurgly noise and it can only be one thing... air in the tubes.

if need to purge, any advice?
 
Gurgling noise is usually an indication of air in the system. The only way to find out is to purge it and if the noise goes away then it's air. Otherwise it could be the pump is wearing out or impeller is full of debris.
