Question Purge a pending driver update

PingSpike

Lifer
So Windows 10 has it in its head that it needs to install a newer AMD GPU driver. Which would be annoying on its own but newer drivers seem to keep the windows from booting and crash it as soon as they are installed.

I turned off driver updates...in several places but the driver is sitting there in the windows update dialog as a pending update. I set updates to delayed so its OK for now but how to a purge this update from the list? Since I believe its going to just download and install again.

Thanks, this is a different method that I was using.

This part made me laugh though:
That is all. As you can see, it is quite easy to stop Windows 10 from installing or updating drivers of a specific device.
Yes, I'm sure any grandma would be happy to just through device manager picking out the appropriate hardware ids and building a group policy entry with them. Simple stuff.
