You might like "Queen of the Clouds" (Tove Lo) and "Froot" (Marina and the Diamonds - her past albums are fantastic, too) if you like that album. I like Lorde, but I like Tove Lo and Marina better.

Lana Del Rey's "Born to Die" is still my favorite album of the genre from the past 5 years.

Yeah. She pretty much sucks. People love her though, so I must be the one with faulty hearing. That "Royals" song has to be the most annoying thing I have heard since <anything by Imagine Dragons>.

Agreed. I caught her twice when she played here, at the start and the end of the US leg of her tour. She is a phenomenal songwriter, and not just for her age. I liken her songwriting to what would happen if Thom Yorke were a teenage girl.

I'm curious to see her growth as a musician. The sparse nature of her sound really highlights the lyrics but she will need to evolve. I also hope her success doesn't make her lose her lyrical edge and outsider/not-so-cool themes.
