Purchasing new VZW phone in early March

Early march, I will be getting a new VZW phone... Sometime around the second week of March.

What phones will be available by then?

What phones would you recommend looking at?

would enjoy the ability to jailbreak the phone, custom apps, etc.

I would wait until April(hopefully) for the Droid Bionic. If you can't wait until then, take a look at the HTC Thunderbolt which will be available 2/24.

The Thunderbolt will probably be the only new thing by March.

I'd be surprised if the Bionic is available before June.

i can't. as of now I am waiting on my parents to send me a random old phone that is sitting unused... after i broke my current random old phone that replaced a phone i destroyed accidently...

(current phone just had the hinge break like all the other ones of that model)

Hmmm...I'm trying to be optimistic. My current contract ends in April so that would an ideal scenario. I guess a release in Q2 could be in June.

Sounds like you're hard on phones. Maybe you should find something ruggedized?

no, here is my history of phones recently

windows phone: charging connecter went flakey.
Env 2: lost it one night a year ago, after a good night at the bars... was returned to me a few days later, after having been run over
Replacement phone for that (spare): battery died
replacement phone for that (spare): battery stopped holding a charge
replacement phone for that (spare): LG VX8300 hinge just broke when i went to open it...
