I am buying an upgraded video card to put in my new rig that I'm building. I am on a low budget though, so I was thinking of buying the eVGA 7300 (256mb). Is this a mistake? Should I go for higher? My computer mostly is used for internet, Photoshop (editing, animation, etc) and I play EverQuest2.

Any card reccomendations on a budget? I am pairing it up with an AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400. I will be putting 2GB of DDR RAM. Any and all advice is appreciated. Thank you.

This is the best card you can get for 108.00$. with rebate its 88.99$ for a evga 7600gt with lifetime warranty. Should be good for your needs for a year or two.

Here the EVGA 7600gs for 94.00 but has a 20$ rebate so $74.99 is good too

7600gt 89.99 + 5.00 = teh winnar

Don't get the 7300, especially not the 256mb version. That weak core can't utilize all that memory.

Edit: From one of the newest reviews on there:

Pros: * Installed easily * Much more powerful than previous card (7300GT) * Fairly quiet * Does not require extra power cord from PSU.
