I know what I want... an Athlon DDR System.. w/ my own chosen componants. I'm probably gonna put the system together on mwave.com and make them build it. But since they are sold out of their GF3's, i was wondering if I could still put a system together w/out the video card... and they test it and send it to me. Also, what other hardware sites are good for purchasing personalized computers and computer parts??

you should ask them if they will do that. my dad has actually done that before with a local store. They tested it with there own video card and monitor.

Why not get the parts shipped to you and build it yourself? You could just try it out with a friend's unused video card or something like that.

I'd like to know your budget anyway, in case you want to build it yourself. I could spec it out. :D

I'd stay away from the MSI K7T266, the VIA KT266 chipset is extremly buggy at this stage. I would lean toward the AMD 761 boards.
