Purchasing an MS Natural Keyboard/Mouse OEM

I need a new keyboard & mouse. I was gonna just get the basic Logitech combo for $25 (free shipping) on ZZF, but all the reviews of "natural" keyboards say that once you use it, you'll never wanna go back. And I do a ton of typing, so I am getting more nervous about long-term repetitive stress injuries.

So anyway I think I'm gonna pay a few $$ more and try the MS Natural combo. But as noted on that page, you're required to purchase some other hardware item along with the MS product. But the absolute cheapest hardware item on ZZF is a $1.49 CDROM audio cable which as far as I know I have no use for. So I was shopping around thinking that if I'm forced to buy another piece of hardware (M$ OEM rules), I should get something that I'd use (maybe another hard drive), but I don't need to spend any extra money right now... I just feel stupid for paying $1.49 for something I have no use for. Then again, I'd be paying way more for such a keyboard/mouse combo anywhere else (especially a B&M store), so I guess my money is the main issue!

Hrm... would I see any benefit from a Vantec Aluminum RAM heat spreader for $10.99? I only have 1GB of Mushkin Value RAM, I don't think I'm too "extreme" in the RAM department...

Sorry, I'm just annoyed...

But I hope I like the keyboard!!!

OK so buying that "cheap" $1.49 CD-ROM cable will tack on another $7.50 to my order since it is not covered by ZZF's Free 2 Day FedEx shipping.


So how about getting this Zalman Northbridge cooler for my Asus A8N-SLI motherboard?? Maybe I'd actually get use out of it?

After reading this thread, I think the Zalman may not be for me... many people report it getting very hot up there, which I don't want.

I think I'll just go with some round cables for my DVD-RW drive. Yeah?
