Purchasing a new case...

Ok, I'm just getting bored of my bold pc case... so im in the market for a new case to add some spice into my life.. after looking at around 10000 cases... Antec P160 and Just PC's JPC899WH caught my eyes.. but P160 seems too pricy and too tall for my taste and usage... Thus, I ended up choosing JPC899WH...

Here's a link to review:http://www.thecrucible.ca/reviews/justpc899/

Nonetheless, my main concern is the two optical drive bay covers which i absolutely love since they make the case look more sleek and clean... but if u read the review site the cover actually gets stuck when u try to close the DVD-Rom...

Does anyone have any experience with this particular case?....
Or do you have a case that has optical drive bay covers that does not fit? or fits?

Im just worried that my pioneer dvd-rom won't fit wit the cover.... should i have any issues?

We're probably in the minority, but I think some colors of the Gazelle case look pretty good too. If your optical drive has a hangup like that, just remove the little plate off the front of the disk tray (since the stealth drive covers close the drive off from most dust and extraneous light anyway, it shouldn't pose any problem taking the tray front(s) off) and that should keep it from happening - they usually come off easily, you just have to study it a bit to see how it comes off.. Or you can just hold the hatch open while the disk tray retracts.
. It depends on what drive you have and how much lip that front plate on the drive tray extends below the bottom of the tray itself. Both of my Plextors have a large part of that front plate extending below the tray, so I could see my drives having that sort of problem. However on the MSI X48 I have here, only a small part of that front plate extends below the bottom of the tray so I could see it having less problem with hanging up.
. Or you could just stealth the old-fashioned way: remove the hinge from the door and hot-glue the door to the front of the tray so the door moves in and out with the tray.
. I say go for it and let us know your experiences with the Gazelle.

. If it were me, I'd probably get a more modern PSU like the Xclio 450 PSU to put in it and dump the OEM one on eBay or closet it for a backup.

get a decent case from a decent manufacturer like antec. those cases seem to have those really lousy fan grills that block air. shows poor design.

there are many good cheap cases out there... just cause antec has its name out their.. doesn't mean their products is any better than non-name brand...
i wouldn't say this case is the best... but im not too concerned about temp and i can always mod the case for better air flow and such... my rig ain't OC'ed so temp is not the biggest worries... i just like the look of it... honestly.. case is only a case, i just saw a guy making case out of legos on the forum... ob course air flow and noise level matters.. but im not willing to pick an ugly case for it.... psu is a different subject... just my two cent.

damn.. ur ALBA pictures are keepin poppin' in my head.. 😛

I don't have that case - just offering some suggestions as to how to deal with it - easiest is to just hold the trap door out of the way while the tray retracts. I have an Athenatech case that has a similar trap door and that's what I do. Now if you are putting disks in and out lots of times a day then one of the other solutions would work better for you. And I already came up with several other possibilities since I wrote the first reply. Lots of ways to deal with it.
